Cork firm JRAP O’Meara Solicitors has announced the appointment of two new partners to its commercial property and litigation teams.

Mairead Ni Laoire, joining the commercial property department, deals with a broad range of property transactions including the acquisition, structuring, financing and disposal of mixed commercial & residential developments and specialises in advising receivers from appointment through to the sale of assets.

Cormac O’Regan, joining the litigation department, deals with all areas of litigation with a special focus on commercial, banking and insolvency disputes. He also provides general advices to banking clients and insolvency practitioners in a wide variety of contentious matters.

John McLaughlin, managing partner at JRAP O’Meara, said: “We are delighted by this news. Mairead and Cormac are two highly experienced and respected lawyers and are valuable members of the team here at JRAP O’Meara.

“Their appointment as partners is a deserved expression of our confidence in them as excellent solicitors and great people. Their promotion will further strengthen our commercial and dispute resolution offering to clients and our plans for continued growth.”

The appointments come just a few months after the creation of JRAP O’Meara in April through the merger of two well-established Cork firms, Barry M O’Meara & Son and James Riordan and Partners.
