Johnsons succeeds on behalf of Gerry Adams in defamation case

Johnsons successfully acted for Gerry Adams in his high-profile defamation trial in the High Court against the BBC.
After a lengthy trial, which lasted five weeks, the firm secured a successful verdict for Mr Adams – with the jury awarding €100,000 in damages.
The BBC has confirmed that it will not appeal the verdict.
The firm said in a statement: “We are delighted with this outcome which provides a full vindication of our client. Mr Adams has confirmed his intention to donate the damages award to his nominated charitable causes.”
