Irish Attorney General delivers lecture at Columbia Law School

Irish Attorney General Rossa Fanning SC delivered a lecture at Columbia Law School during this trip to New York last week.
The lecture was entitled ‘Common Law, Different Paths: Ireland and the United States’ and explored the common law heritage shared by Ireland and the United States and the confluences and divergences of their respective constitutional traditions.
The Attorney General engaged with students and faculty following the lecture in a discussion on comparative constitutional law and the continued evolution of the common law tradition.
The lecture was facilitated by the Consulate General of Ireland, New York led by Gerald Angley, and Christine A. Ryan and colleagues at Columbia Law School.
