#InPictures: Interns welcomed to Chief State Solicitor's Office

Chief State Solicitor, Maria Browne, had the pleasure of welcoming this year’s interns to the Chief State Solicitor’s Office as part of the Legal Access Internship Scheme.

This paid internship programme is designed for final-year law students from underrepresented backgrounds, and provides hands-on experience in public sector legal work, mentorship opportunities, and the chance to contribute to genuinely meaningful projects.

The office said: “We are proud to run this scheme in partnership with our colleagues at the Law Reform Commission of Ireland, the Office of the Attorney General - Ireland, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Ireland, and the Houses of the Oireachtas. The ODPP are administering this year’s programme and the CSSO are hosting two legal interns.

“Together, we are committed to increasing diversity in the legal profession and opening doors for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue a career in law.

“A warm welcome to all of our interns and we look forward to working with you over the summer.”
