In pictures... mediators mark end of speaking clock

The Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (MII) held a moment of silence for the speaking clock at the meeting of their Council this week.

The speaking clock operated by Eir closed permanently on Monday night after 48 years of service.

Council member Bill Holohan of Holohan Law told Irish Legal News: “Members of Council were conscious of the fact that a time will come when they will tell their grandchildren about how they marked the passing of the speaking clock (and have to explain what that actually was).”
