KOD Lyons hand over charity cash from 175km cycle

KOD Lyons has handed over money to charities Enable Ireland and Pieta House after raising cash through the 175-kilometre Ring of Kerry charity cycle.

Solicitors Matthew de Courcy and Eoghan O’Sullivan are pictured above handing a cheque to Sean Scally of Enable Ireland.

Three solicitors from the Dublin firm took part in the Kerry cycle to raise nearly €3,000 for the two charities.

Mr O’Sullivan told Irish Legal News: “Three of our solicitors in KOD Lyons undertook the gruelling 175km Kerry cycle along with 7,000 other participants.

“We did so, not just to improve our own fitness levels but to raise awareness and a few added euro to two wonderful charities with whom we are very familiar in our human rights work.

“We would like to thank all of those who contributed so generously for the benefit of Enable Ireland and Pieta House.

“It is vital however that the work provided by these two charities are recognised at state level and that much added funds are allocated by government to these areas of work which protect some of the most vulnerable in our society.”
