HOMS Solicitors to sponsor Fittest Company Challenge at Great Limerick Run

HOMS Solicitors are once again sponsoring the HOMS Solicitors Fittest Company Challenge as part of the Bon Secours Hospital Great Limerick Run in Limerick on Sunday 6 May.

A team of solicitors from the firm will also take part in the “fun, friendly and free competition amongst businesses and organisations”.

John Cleary, director of the Bon Secours Hospital Great Limerick Run, said: “The Great Limerick Run has become one of the largest participatory events in the country – HOMS Fittest Company Challenge brings another dimension to the event for individuals to compete and achieve their personal goals.”

Last year, 110 companies registered to take part in the competition. Companies are categorised according to employee numbers with points allocated per employee that cross the finishing line. Each employee who finishes a race earns points per mile for their company.

Harry Fehily, managing partner at HOMS Solicitors, said: “We are proud to be sponsoring this event for the fifth year running. The Bon Secours Hospital Great Limerick Run is a tremendously positive event for Limerick and it is a positive initiative which promotes a healthy lifestyle for employees and is conducive for team building.

“This year HOMS Solicitors will have a team of runners ‘Going the Extra Mile’ to raise funds for Temple Street University Children’s Hospital.”

Denise Fitzgerald, chief executive at Temple Street Foundation, added: “We are delighted and very grateful that HOMS Solicitors has chosen Temple Street Children’s Hospital to be the beneficiary of funds raised by their staff participating in the HOMS Fittest Company Challenge this Spring. These funds will make a real and lasting difference to nearly 1,000 patients who attend Temple Street from County Limerick on a yearly basis.

“We are thrilled with the support that HOMS staff are giving the hospital and we wish all those taking part the best of luck. Thank-you for taking on this big challenge for our brave little heroes.”
