HF expands in Ireland with acquisition of Ennis, Matrix and Cardinal

HF has acquired Ennis & Associates LLP (Ennis), Matrix Claims Services Ltd (Matrix) and Cardinal Claims Services Ltd (Cardinal).

The new, combined HF business in Ireland will be led by Matrix CEO Enda Cunningham.

Ennis, Matrix and Cardinal are sister firms with a total of c. 60 employees, providing an integrated, end-to-end claims management and defence litigation offering to the Irish insurance sector. Their services cover the full claims lifecycle including first notification of loss and repair management, damage and injury claims handling, litigation, costs settlement and recovery.

The team from Ennis, including principal Larry Ennis, will move across to HF Ireland, combining their expertise and specialisms with the existing HF team as they continue to grow, supported by HF’s scale, innovation and technology-based solutions.

Matrix and Cardinal will continue to operate as they do now, also benefiting from the greater scale and technological innovation of HF.  The clients of all the businesses will see a seamless, business-as-usual transition with a continued focus on the excellent customer service for which they are known.  Employees will benefit from a culture well known for being focused on people, development and promotion from within.

Ronan McCann, CEO & managing partner of HF said: “We’re excited to be expanding in Ireland with the teams from Ennis, Matrix and Cardinal, and the combined business will be led by Enda Cunningham. They will continue providing their excellent service in the new, combined HF organisation in Ireland. This investment brings fantastic opportunities for our business and our people as we bring together valuable skills and experience which will provide the best possible service for all our clients.”

Mr Cunningham added: “Joining HF is a landmark moment for us and we’re very excited for the future of the business. Our focus on providing unmatched client service excellence remains unchanged, with the added benefit of a broader range of specialisms and technologies that will enhance our offering to clients even further”.
