Hallissey & Partners welcomes two new partners

West Cork firm Hallissey & Partners LLP Solicitors has appointed Kate Hallissey and Julie Gallwey as partners.

Ms Hallissey, who joined the firm 15 years ago, works across a number of legal areas, specialising in litigation, including personal injuries, medical negligence, landlord and tenant dispute, licensing law as well as criminal litigation.

She also has extensive experience in all aspects of family law from separation, divorce, guardianship, maintenance, access and custody arrangements, handling these cases with sensitivity and pragmatism as well as expert legal acumen.

She also regularly attends District Court No. 18 and has extensive experience and a particular interest in the area of District Court litigation.

Admitted to the Law Society of Ireland as a solicitor following her qualification from the University of Wales, Ms Hallissey is a member of the Criminal Legal Aid Board panel, providing legal services to clients in the District and Circuit Courts of Ireland.

Ms Gallwey, who joins the firm as partner, has extensive experience in tax planning, farm transfers, estate and probate administration and conveyancing.

Having previously worked in the financial sector, she is particularly astute in legal advisory services on capital gains tax, bequests and wills, residential and investment property and letting and tenancy agreements. She regularly works with investors, developers, farmers, vendors, purchasers across residential and commercial conveyancing.

A graduate of the University of London, Ms Gallwey was admitted to the Law Society of Ireland as a solicitor over 15 years ago.
