Government nominates Gsoc commissioners

The Government has agreed to nominate Kieran FitzGerald and Mark Toland for appointment to the Garda Síochana Ombudsman Commission.
Mr FitzGerald is a former journalist with a Doctorate in Governance from the School of Law at Queen’s University Belfast, and is being nominated for a second term as a Gsoc commissioner.
Mr Toland is a member of the Garda Síochána Inspectorate.
They will join Judge Mary Ellen Ring, who was previously nominated by the Government to be re-appointed as GSOC chairperson.
Their appointments will be effective from 12 December.
