Three new partners have joined DWF’s Dublin office as the firm strengthens its commercial capability across key practice areas.

Banking partner Louis Burke and litigation partner Eimear Collins join from Mason Hayes & Curran and projects, energy and project finance partner Garrett Monaghan joins from Arthur Cox.

Mr Burke advises institutional and private clients on a wide range of Irish banking and financial matters, including general corporate lending, real estate finance, development finance, restructuring, acquisition finance, asset-based lending and factoring/invoice discounting.

Mr Monaghan is a recognised expert in energy, projects and project finance and will lead DWF’s projects and renewables practice in Ireland and support the firm’s international network.

He also has substantial banking experience, including general banking, trade finance and project finance, and will work alongside Mr Burke.

Ms Collins joins as commercial litigation partner and advises domestic and international corporates on a range of disputes, including property, commercial, contractual and insurance.

She is recognised as an expert in property litigation and will work closely with the firm’s recently launched Irish real estate practice. She also specialises in professional negligence claims.

Ross Little, DWF executive partner in Dublin, said: “With the fallout from Brexit, Dublin is expecting an influx of banks, financial institutions and corporates looking to set up operations in Ireland, as well as continued investment from US and other international firms that are choosing Ireland as their European base. Ireland is a key focus for DWF and these appointments are a vital part of our strategic growth plans to develop strong, commercially-focused service lines.”

DWF Dublin launched a real estate practice at the end of 2016 to support clients in the region. The firm has made several recent appointments in Dublin, including real estate partner Michael Neary and professional indemnity partner Nina Gaston.
