HOMS Assist has expanded its probate and wills department with the appointment of Olga Sandys as solicitor and Bronagh Gennery as probate administrator.

The announcement follows the firm’s recent promotion of Claire Tuohy to partner, recognising her expertise in wills, trusts, probate and cross-border estates.

Ms Sandys has been appointed as a solicitor in the Probate and Wills Department where she provides expert guidance on probate, wills, and estate planning.

She holds a first class honours degree in corporate law (inclusive of the LLB) and international French from NUI Galway (now the University of Galway).

She joined HOMS Assist as a legal intern in 2022, before completing her training contract with the firm and qualifying as a solicitor in early 2026.

Her expertise extends to enduring powers of attorney and decision-making representative order applications.

Ms Gennery joins the probate team as a dedicated and experienced probate administrator, specialising in guiding clients through the often complex process of estate administration.

A graduate of UCC, she earned her BA in criminology in 2024, developing a strong foundation in legal systems and analytical thinking.

In her role, Ms Gennery assists solicitors in managing the legal and administrative aspects of wills, trusts and estates. From preparing essential documentation to liaising with solicitors and beneficiaries, she is committed to providing a seamless and stress-free experience for clients during what can often be a challenging time.

Welcoming both to their new roles, Robert Bourke, partner-in-charge at HOMS Assist, said: “The expansion of our probate and wills department reflects the increasing demand for expert, compassionate legal guidance in estate planning and administration.

“As estates become more complex and families seek greater clarity around succession and asset protection, it is essential that we continue to invest in experienced, high-calibre professionals.

“Olga brings outstanding technical expertise and a strong client-focused approach to probate, estate planning and powers of attorney matters. Her progression within the firm demonstrates our commitment to developing talent and maintaining the highest standards of legal practice.

“Bronagh plays a vital role in ensuring that every estate is administered with precision, efficiency and care. At what is often a very difficult time for families, having a dedicated and detail-focused probate professional makes a significant difference.

“Together, these appointments strengthen our ability to deliver practical, responsive and trusted advice to clients nationwide.”

Ms Tuohy said: “Clients are increasingly seeking clear, strategic advice around succession planning, particularly where there are business interests or complex family structures involved.

“Expanding our probate and wills team ensures that we can continue to provide the depth of expertise and responsiveness that private clients require.”
