Dillon Eustace acts for FBD Insurance on office acquisition

Dillon Eustace acted for FBD Insurance, the largest Irish-owned insurer, on the acquisition of FBD’s Mullingar offices.
The 2,322㎡ premises, which houses FBD’s midlands call centre operations, had been occupied by FBD under lease since 2007.
The insurer has now bought the building outright from the original developer of Lakepoint Retail & Business Park, MKN Property Group.
The Dillon Eustace transaction team was led by Kelly O’Hara, partner and head of real estate, with support from Gemma Casey.
Commenting on the deal, Ms O’Hara said: “We were delighted to support FBD Insurance in this transaction which is good news for Mullingar and the future development of the Lakepoint Retail & Business Park.
“FBD has been an anchor business in the area for over 10 years, serving its 500,000 strong customers nationwide from its call centre, and acting as a key local employer.”
