Department of Enterprise publishes three-year strategy

Peter Burke
The Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment has published its statement of strategy for 2025 to 2028.
The new strategy outlines six cross-cutting goals aimed at strengthening Ireland’s position as a leading location to work, do business and visit.
It places a strong emphasis on innovation, digitalisation, decarbonisation and infrastructure, while also recognising the vital role of tourism as a key economic driver.
Enterprise, tourism and employment minister Peter Burke said: “Our recent action plan on competitiveness and productivity, the action plan on market diversification and this month’s pro-enterprise budget recognise the critical link between industrial development, competitiveness and job creation.
“My department’s new statement of strategy reflects our commitment to protect the 2.81 million jobs in our economy, which we cannot take for granted.
“My focus is on supporting enterprise and ensuring our economy remains resilient and competitive and this strategy will strengthen Ireland’s position as a leading location to work and do business in.
“At its heart is a commitment to deliver opportunity and prosperity for all by driving a competitive, resilient and sustainable economy that supports enterprise, tourism and employment across all of Ireland’s regions.”
