Chantal Feeney, Patrice O’Keeffe, and Con Barry
Comyn Kelleher Tobin LLP has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Con Barry as partner, alongside a number of senior promotions and newly qualified solicitors.
Mr Barry advises across healthcare, mental health and administrative law, acting in complex and sensitive statutory and regulatory matters. He appears regularly before courts and tribunals throughout Munster and Connacht and has significant experience advising on issues arising under the Mental Health Act and the Assisted Decision‑Making (Capacity) Act.
Managing partner Patrice O’Keeffe said: “Con’s work consistently reflects the care, judgement, and professionalism required in healthcare and child law, and his appointment as partner recognises both his expertise and leadership within the firm. We are also pleased to appoint Chantal Feeney as Senior Associate and to see four trainee solicitors qualify, reflecting our continued focus on developing talent and strengthening the team at all levels.”
Mr Barry said: “Becoming a partner is a significant responsibility, particularly in areas where the issues involved are often sensitive. I’m pleased to take on that responsibility and to continue supporting clients with clear, careful advice delivered with judgement and consideration.”
Chantal Feeney has been appointed senior associate in the firm’s litigation department. She advises insurance and commercial clients on contentious and non‑contentious matters, with particular experience in the defence of employers’ liability, public liability and motor claims. She is dual qualified in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
She said: “I’m very pleased to take on this new role and to continue supporting clients across complex litigation matters while contributing to the continued growth of the firm.”
