Carson McDowell is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its Dublin office.

Since establishing its Dublin office in 2016 Carson McDowell has steadily expanded its presence in Ireland, with a strong focus on providing specialist legal services to healthcare and allied healthcare professionals.

Sinéad Keavey was appointed as partner and head of the Dublin Office in 2020 and Kathleen Byrne and Deirdre Ryan were appointed as partners in 2022 and 2025 respectively, joining a team of more than 20 professionals.

Over the past decade the Dublin office has strengthened the firm’s ability to advise on complex, high-value and sensitive legal defence, regulatory and advisory matters, while working closely with clients to manage inquests, clinical claims and healthcare disputes in innovative and effective ways. The office relocation from Windsor Place to Northbrook Road reflects the continued growth and development of Carson McDowell’s Dublin presence.

The Dublin healthcare team’s strength has been recognised externally, with Carson McDowell achieving its first ranking in the Chambers Europe Guide for Dispute Resolution: Healthcare Litigation in Ireland in 2026.

Jacqueline McAleese, head of clinical claims (Ireland and NI) at Carson McDowell, said: “Celebrating ten years in Dublin is an important milestone for Carson McDowell and reflects our long-term commitment to healthcare clients across Ireland. What began as a strategic expansion of our specialist healthcare offering has become a key part of our all-island practice, enabling us to meet growing demand for medical indemnity and healthcare legal expertise in this jurisdiction. We are proud of the team that we have built, the relationships we have developed and the innovative, client-focused service we continue to deliver.”

Sinéad Keavey, head of Dublin office at Carson McDowell, added: “Over the last ten years, our Dublin office has gone from strength to strength, becoming an important part of Carson McDowell’s healthcare practice across Ireland. We have built a talented team, developed strong sector relationships and established a significant market presence. This anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on that progress while looking ahead to the next phase of growth and continuing to enhance our offering for healthcare clients nationwide.”
