ByrneWallace staff choir helps raise charity cash at Aidlink for Turkana concert

The ByrneWallace staff choir, “Legally Sound”, were among performers who took to the stage of the National Concert Hall in Dublin to raise cash for charity.

The “Aidlink for Turkana” concert aimed to raise awareness and vital funds to support the work of Aidlink Ireland, which enables communities in Africa tackle poverty, and Girl Child Network Kenya, which supports the promotion of more girls attending school and gaining an education.

Workplace and community choirs were paired with well-known Irish music acts to perform, and Legally Sound were paired with well-known Irish band, The Pale.

It’s not the first time that the ByrneWallace choir, founded in 2016, has played with The Pale. After sharing the stage at last year’s Aidlink concert, the band invited ByrneWallace staff to appear on stage with them at their concert in Whelan’s as backing singers.

The ByrneWallace choir held their first performance, of Christmas carols, in December 2016. They entered the National Workplace Choir of The Year Competition (in association with Lyric FM) for the first time in 2017 and progressed to the finals, and were runners up this year.
