Attorney General fell victim to 'minor' burglary on Halloween

Séamus Woulfe

Attorney General Séamus Woulfe SC fell victim to a “minor” burglary during Halloween, according to reports.

Mr Woulfe’s home in the Dublin suburb of Clontarf was broken into, but very little was taken, The Irish Times reports.

A source told the newspaper that the family believes the burglary was most likely “kids messing at Halloween”.

There were 16,617 recorded burglaries in the year to June 2019, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), a 9.8 per cent decrease on the previous year.
