And finally… under lock and key

An American man who correctly guessed the password for an electronic message board is facing a felony charge after changing it to read “Drive Crazy Yall”.

Geoffrey Eltgroth, 26, was arrested after motorists noticed a message board warning of road construction had been altered.

A police officer tracked him down, at which point he admitted that he had changed the sign because he thought it was funny.

He also clarified that he didn’t hack into the device - he managed to correctly guess the username and password.

Eltgroth has been jailed on a third-degree felony charge of criminal mischief (tampering with transportation communications equipment) and is being held on $5,000 bond.
