And finally… scales of justice

Godzilla was appointed as chief of a Tokyo police station for a day in a bid to raise awareness about road traffic law.

The iconic Japanese kaiju — known as the “King of the Monsters” in America — took over the Ikebukuro police station on Monday.

He was pictured appearing in front of reporters alongside senior police officers, wearing a sash identifying him as chief of the station.

Godzilla was then released into Tokyo streets — but instead of destroying buildings with his atomic breath, he took part in a public parade promoting road safety.

Thankfully, he is said to have stood down at the end of the day.
