And finally… str**k off

A solicitor who sent a foul-mouthed rant to the Solicitors Regulation Authority has been banned from the profession.

Luke Stephen Venton, 39, had three previous convictions from 2014-2017, two of which he failed to inform the SRA of. He has not practised since November 2015.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal heard that in response to an SRA notification of a fine, the Devon man told the regulator it could “stick your adjudication invoice up you’re [sic] a**e you f*****g w****r’”.

Asked to explain this, he replied: “Here’s another one for you, you f*****g bent c**t(s). The SRA will never regulate me and that is it.”

After threatening to bin future adjudications, he signed off: “F*****g w****r – f**k off! Regards, Luke.”

The content of the emails was found to be “offensive, insulting and threatening” – and Venton was struck off, the Law Society of England and Wales Gazette reports.
