And finally… shocking conduct

A police officer who clumsily apologised to a woman with a frosted cake that read “Sorry I Tased You” has been put on probation.

Stephanie Byron has opened a lawsuit against former sheriff’s deputy Michael Wohlers, alleging the cop “used his apparent law enforcement authority to intimidate, harass, and threaten” her at work.

He then allegedly fired his stun gun at her, telling supervisors that he had discharged the weapon at home by accident.

Later, Wohlers presented his victim with a cake - which was adorned with a childish frosted stick figure re-enactment of the incident.

But his sick gift backfired when Byron’s attorney entered a picture of the cake as an exhibit in the upcoming court case.

Byron’s complaint notes: “The cake Wohlers baked provides his version of the encounter and clearly shows a person Wohlers firing the Taser at Ms. Byron. It also reads ‘Sorry I Tased You’.”

Wohlers, from Florida, will not be allowed to serve at any law enforcement agency in the state for the next year after a standards commission reviewed the case and put him on probation.

However, probation could be the least of his worries as Byron seeks compensation, costs, expenses and legal costs.
