Martin Duram, 45, was shot five times in his Michigan, USA home last May and his death remains under investigation.

His wife Glenna Duram was discovered with a head wound at the same time, but survived.

Duram’s ex-wife, Christina Keller, now owns his parrot and claims it witnessed the murder.

Newaygo county prosecutor Robert Springstead is not sure that the parrot’s testimony will be accepted in court.

He told Associated Press: “I’m not aware of any precedent for that.

“Certainly, as we work out way through the case, that may be something to look at, but I highly doubt there is any precedent for that.”
