And finally… raging bull

The artist who sculpted Wall Street’s famous “Charging Bull” statue claims New York City has violated his legal rights by allowing the “Fearless Girl” statue to be installed opposite his work.

Italian-born Arturo Di Modica has complained that the other artwork, installed without his permission, ingrines on his own artistic copyright, The Guardian reports.

His lawyer, Norman Siegel, said Di Modica will challenge city officials who issued a permit for the bronze girl to stay until February 2018.

Siegel said he was demanding the city release documents showing what procedures were followed — despite the fact Di Modica installed his own statue without permission after the 1987 stock market collapse.

Kristen Visbal’s Fearless Girl figure was installed on the eve of International Women’s Day to highlight the under-representation of women on US corporate boards.

In response to petitions with tens of thousands of signatures, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio extended the statue’s permit for nearly one year.
