James Farthing, 51, was arrested early Sunday in the car park of a Walmart in Georgetown after police found him asleep in the passenger seat of a running Ford Mustang.

Officers said a member of the public had reported the vehicle sitting in an intersection before it drove into the Walmart car park and stopped beside an electric vehicle charging station.

Farthing appeared intoxicated when officers woke him, according to the arrest citation. He said a woman had driven him there and left him. He was charged with public intoxication.

Farthing was previously arrested in Florida in April 2025 and three times this year, on charges including intimidation, burglary and domestic violence.
