And finally… pizza nonsense

A man who was sacked for sharing a leftover slice of pizza with his son on a business trip has been awarded over £150,000 by a court.

Sydney man Greg Sherry was given permission to bring his wife and children on a trip to Melbourne, with his family members paying their own way.

However, he was fired for “serious misconduct” after bosses learned he had let his eight-year-old son eat leftover slices of a pizza he bought with his corporate credit card.

Mr Sherry was sacked the day before he would have become eligible for a $379,268 AUD (around £211,000) redundancy payout.

A district court ruled this week that Mr Sherry did not act dishonestly and awarded him more than $276,000 (around £150,000) in damages, news.com.au reports.
