David Fricker, 49, was working on a billboard advertising the services of law firm Cellino & Barnes before falling more than three metres onto a rooftop below.

Mr Fricker, who lives and works in New York, suffered a fractured back and a concussion from the fall, the New York Post reports.

His family have challenged employer Lamar Advertising to explain how one of their workers was hurt on the job.
