Police in Utah were stunned after they pulled over the car to find a “young, very underage driver”, CNN reports.

The boy reportedly told officers that he took the family car after his mum refused to buy him a Lamborghini.

He was planning to travel from Utah to California – nearly 800 miles – to buy the sports car with his $3 life savings.

The boy’s parents, who collected him from the scene, told police the boy had run away while in his older sibling’s care.
