And finally… I kid you not

A goat arrested yesterday for grazing in an Indian district magistrate’s garden has been released on bail.

Police arrested the law-breaking goat and its owner, Abdul Hassan, after a criminal complaint was made by district magistrate Hemant Ratre’s gardener.

Assistant Sub-Inspector R. P. Srivastava told local press that the goat was a regular pest and Hassan had been previously warned over his behaviour.

The goat’s criminal activities reportedly include grazing in the garden and eating plants and vegetables.

Hassan and his goat both face charges of criminal trespass and mischief causing damage under sections 447 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code.

Hassan was less lucky than his goat and was refused bail.
