And finally... food fight

The US Justice Department has sacked a staff member who allegedly threw a Subway sandwich at a federal law enforcement officer.

Sean Charles Dunn, 37, was fired yesterday after the incident, which follows the Trump administration’s controversial deployment of federal law enforcement agencies in home-ruled Washington D.C.

He was a paralegal in the international affairs section of the criminal division of the Justice Department, according to The Washington Post.

Prosecutors allege that Dunn yelled obscenities at members of US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and called them “fascists”.

He then allegedly threw a Subway sandwich at one of the officials, which was recorded in a video that went viral on social media.

Dunn has been charged with one felony count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and employees of the United States.

Pam Bondi, the US attorney general, claimed Dunn is “an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months as we work to refocus DOJ”.

“You will NOT work in this administration while disrespecting our government and law enforcement,” she added.
