And finally… Beware of bounce backs

A man in Belfast is being treated for head injuries after the brick he allegedly hurled at a charity office window bounced back and hit him.

The man, in his 40s and currently unnamed, was detained by police outside the Public Initiative for Prevention of Suicide (PIPS) charity office in north Belfast.

His injury echoes the stupidity of a Drogheda man who was knocked out after a brick he threw at a car window rebounded into his face.

In that instance, the man was also subsequently arrested.

PIPS boarded over their windows last night and opened as usual today.
