And finally… acting the goat?

A man who brought his pet goat to a Lidl supermarket has denied that it amounted to disorderly behaviour.

Andrew Meneice, 32, pleaded not guilty in Coleraine Magistrates Court yesterday to being disorderly, the Belfast Telegraph reports.

He was released by District Judge Liam McNally on £200 bail, on the condition that he is not to go within 10 metres of the Lidl store on foot.

Mr Meneice is also banned from the supermarket’s car park, from being in public after consuming alcohol, and from any contact with Lidl staff.

He is alleged by police to have been intoxicated during the incidents in the store, some of which have yet to come before the court.

A hearing date will be fixed next month.
