And finally… a fishy tale

An Australian rapper called ‘2pec’ ran up a £360 bill in a seafood restaurant, before diving into the sea and swimming off to avoid paying, a Queensland court has heard.

Police gave chase on jetskis and apprehended the man.

Terry Peck, who has been charged with theft and assault, allegedly consumed two lobsters, a baby octopus, 21 vodka oyster shots and “a number of Coronas”.

Magistrate Joan White commented “Oh God! By himself?” when she heard of the 33-year old’s gargantuan consumption.

She granted bail after Peck claimed that the lobsters at Omeros Bros restaurant in Surfers Paradise on the east coast had been overcooked.

Restaurant representative, Mark Hunnybun, rejected the criticism of the standard of cooking, telling ABC News: “We pride ourselves on cooking our lobsters perfectly.”

Australian media have uncovered some of Mr Peck’s self-produced music, including one track entitled Ozi Ozi Ozi Oy Oy Oy.
