International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has again invited Irish tech businesses to apply for its AG Elevate accelerator programme.

The international programme is designed to provide ambitious tech companies with the opportunity to secure a package of tailored legal advice to help them grow at scale.

Last year’s programme featured Protostars AI, an Irish business which leverages AI to assist companies in navigating the complexities of the newly adopted EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The 10-month programme provides growth-stage businesses with the opportunity to secure access to world-class legal advice, regular mentorship meetings and admission to AG’s global roster of seminars and networking events, many of which are attended by leading business executives, financiers and industry experts.

Since its inception in 2017, AG Elevate has supported the growth of over 60 businesses, tackling a wide range of legal and operational hurdles.

Its alumni include an eclectic mix of tech start-ups spanning fintech, online consumer platforms, and innovators in sustainability, clean-tech and prop-tech. Notable graduates include Tumelo, Amiqus, Finance Unlocked, Intelligent Growth Solutions, and Fuuse.

Irish success stories from the programme include SymPhysis Medical, a Galway medtech firm specialising in palliative care solutions, which secured further funding post-participation, and EpiCapture, a prostate cancer diagnostics company, which was successfully acquired.

To qualify for AG Elevate, companies must be based within the technology sector, have plans to achieve high-growth status and have been the recipient of either seed or later funding.

Doreen Mescal, partner at Addleshaw Goddard Ireland, said: “Navigating the complex legal landscape can be a daunting task for start-ups and scale-ups alike.

“Through AG Elevate, we aim to demystify these challenges, leveraging the deep tech sector knowledge we have here in Ireland to support businesses in their growth journey.

“We’re in search of unique, driven tech companies with visionary leadership and a clear growth trajectory.”
