Open-access network provider appoints Claire Murphy as general counsel

Open-access network provider enet has announced the appointment of Claire M. Murphy as the group general counsel and company secretary.

Ms Murphy now has responsibility for all legal workstreams for the group, as well as corporate governance matters.

In addition to this, she also assumes the title of head of shared services, taking responsibility for HR, business transformation initiatives, and regulatory matters.

Ms Murphy has over 13 years’ experience in the legal profession having worked both in industry, in the utility and card payments sector, and in private practice in Irish law firms.

She said: “I am excited to join enet at a time when the business continues to transform broadband for businesses and communities across Ireland.

“I am fully committed to supporting enet’s vision to deliver a high-speed broadband network efficiently and effectively, and leading our teams through this, and other exciting and challenging projects.”

Ms Murphy graduated from UCD with Business and Law and a Commercial Law Masters.

She continued her studies in the Law Society of Ireland where she qualified as a solicitor, and received Diplomas in IP & intellectual technology, and in-house legal practice.
