State Solicitor Higher (Litigation)

The Chief State Solicitor’s Office (CSSO) is a constituent part of the Office of the Attorney General (AGO) and provides a full solicitor led advisory, litigation and transactional legal service to Government Departments and Offices, and to certain other State agencies. They also provide solicitor services at Tribunals and Commissions of Inquiry and represent Ireland at the Court of Justice of the European Union. 

The CSSO currently has vacancies for State Solicitors Higher – Litigation. Reporting directly to a Principal Solicitor or Deputy Assistant Chief State Solicitor, the State Solicitor Higher – Litigation will be an integral part of the senior management structure of the CSSO and be responsible for guiding, assisting and overseeing work in their Section. They will also have responsibility for the carriage of senior file work such as complex or high-profile legal case files, as well as providing managerial support and mentoring and supporting the work of more junior members of the team.
