New micro-credentials from the Law Society of Ireland – specialist, bite-sized learning for professional development

The Law Society is delighted to launch a suite of brand-new micro-credentials in autumn 2025.

These short, accredited courses will enable you to advance in key areas of law and practice through expert-led lectures and practical, skills-based workshops. Delivered online and running from September, they are designed to give you the flexibility needed to balance work, life, and learning.

Topics include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Alternative Dispute Resolution, sports law, environmental law and climate change, and social media and the law. These micro-credentials are tailor-made to help you gain a competitive edge.

What are micro-credentials?

This new addition to the Law Society’s extensive range of legal education offerings responds to global trends for evolving and more flexible education. We have developed the micro-credentials to meet that demand in Ireland, and they are open to anyone working in the legal sector as well as professionals in other areas.
