DWF appoints Insurance Institute president Mary Smith as Dublin partner

DWF has appointed Mary Smith, the president of the Insurance Institute of Dublin, as a new insurance partner in Ireland.
Ms Smith joins the team with over 15 years’ experience in insurance and construction law and brings significant expertise in professional indemnity claims across Ireland and the UK.
A highly experienced litigation solicitor, Ms Smith is dual-qualified in Ireland and in England and Wales.
She has advised on a wide range of complex disputes, particularly in defending claims against professionals including architects, engineers, surveyors, solicitors and brokers.
She is a certified insurance practitioner (CIP) with the Insurance Institute and currently acts as a panel defence solicitor for several insurer-led professional indemnity schemes.
Ms Smith is the first lawyer to serve as president of the Insurance Institute of Dublin, marking a significant milestone for both the organisation and the wider insurance industry in Dublin.
