A prolific court artist has thanked those who attended an exhibition of his works in the Distillery Building last week.

The “Prima Facie” exhibition presented over 60 works completed by Mike O’Donnell from the first day of the legal year in October 2024 to the end of April 2025.

The works comprise around 600 figure drawings, all drawn from real-life proceedings within the Four Courts and in the Criminal Courts of Justice.

Court of Appeal judge Ms Justice Tara Burns opened the exhibition on Friday evening.

Mr O’Donnell told Irish Legal News: “I was very pleased with the opening of my exhibition and particularly honoured and grateful to have Ms Justice Burns do the honours.

“I put everything into my work and I am inspired by the hard work and diligence of the lawyers and judges in front of me each day. I thank them all for their support.”
