Cleaver Fulton Rankin lawyer shortlisted for male ally award

Cleaver Fulton Rankin associate Jude Copeland has been shortlisted for the Male Advocate of the Year award at the upcoming Women in Tech Awards 2025.

Mr Copeland, a legal technology specialist at the Northern Ireland law firm, is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion with a particular dedication to LGBTQIA+ rights and ending gender inequality/violence.

He is a regular speaker on these topics, sharing his insight on radio, podcasts/digital media and in person for BBC Northern Ireland, public bodies, businesses and charitable/grassroots organisations.

At work, his expertise involves conducting large scale, high volume, document-intensive reviews such as eDisclosure litigation exercises, regulatory investigations and Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), and also regularly acts on disputes and non-contentious matters.

He has acted for public authorities, inquiries and businesses including global and listed companies and SMEs.

This year’s Women in Tech Awards will be taking place in the Europa Hotel Belfast on Thursday 22 May 2025.

Mr Copeland said: “I am delighted and honoured to be shortlisted as Male Advocate of the Year.

“I firmly believe that, as technology evolves, so to do opportunities for empowering women, enabling new, better roles for women, unlocking new ways of working, and addressing the urgent need to reduce gender-based abuse and violence.
