William Fry announces senior appointments in asset management & investment funds

William Fry has announced the appointment of John Aherne and Marion Mellett to its asset management & investment funds department in Dublin.
Mr Aherne joins from A&L Goodbody to take up a role as partner, while Ms Mellett joins from BlackRock to head up the firm’s global fund registrations offering.
Mr Aherne previously worked in London as senior legal counsel for HSBC Global Asset Management with particular focus on its European institutional investment management business.
He is a member of the Irish Funds MiFID II Working Group and the EFAMA Distribution and Investor Protection Working Group.
Ms Mellett is a member of the Irish Funds European Distribution Working Group.
