MKB Law has announced Action Mental Health as the Belfast-based firm’s charity partner for 2019 and 2020.

The law firm - the first to be supporting Action Mental Health through a charity partnership - said it was “determined” to do its part in eliminating stigma and ensuring adults and children receive support.

Solicitors at MKB Law operate in many areas of the law where people are affected by a mental health issue, particularly family and employment law.

Suzanne Keenan, associate director at MKB Law, said: “Northern Ireland has a 20 per cent higher incidence of mental ill-health than anywhere else in the UK. As a local firm we are determined to do our part in bringing this number down, and are pleased to be working with Action Mental Health in 2019 and 2020.”

MKB Law will launch its fundraising efforts with a staff Christmas Jumper Day next Friday.

Action Mental Health works with both adults and young people across Northern Ireland to raise awareness and provide support through dedicated recovery and resilience programmes.
