Beauchamps has announced the appointment of five partners across the firm’s commercial litigation, insurance, public and regulatory and medical negligence teams.

The promotion of Clíodhna Walsh, Sharon Delaney, Edward Lyons, Ciara Murphy and Grace Murphy means 44 per cent of the firm’s partners are now women.

Commenting on the appointments, managing partner John White said: “As a proudly partner-led law firm, it is vital we continue to appoint partners that are the best in their fields.

“Our five new partners have demonstrated exceptional legal and commercial judgement, with a real commitment to teamwork and providing efficient and knowledgeable advice to clients, all characteristics that are central to the Beauchamps ethos.”

Ms Walsh has been appointed as a partner in the commercial litigation and insolvency teams, where she has built extensive experience in the areas of recovery and enforcement proceedings and financial services litigation.

Ms Delaney has been appointed as a partner in the commercial litigation team. She is a highly experienced litigator with a rare understanding of both sides of the profession, having worked as a barrister for 12 years prior to joining Beauchamps in 2017.

Mr Lyons has become a partner in the commercial litigation and public and regulatory teams. He has broad experience advising public bodies, financial institutions and commercial companies on a range of governance, regulatory, dispute resolution and data protection compliance issues.

Ciara Murphy has become a partner in the commercial litigation and insurance and professional indemnity teams. She advises the firm’s key insurance client base, which she has been built significantly since joining the firm.

Grace Murphy has become a partner in the personal injury team. She specialises in medical and dental negligence and is the firm’s expert in cases involving cerebral palsy, delayed diagnosis of cancer, wrongful death, birth injuries, dental negligence, surgical misadventure and catastrophic injuries.
