Maynooth University Department of Law offers a range of law postgraduate qualifications and welcomes applications from both law and non-law graduates. These programmes can also be completed on a part-time basis.
Students will benefit from the support of our expert academic team who draw on their extensive research and professional experience to deliver programmes with a strong emphasis on enhanced research skills and other transferable skills. Work placement opportunities are available as part of all the masters programmes, with partner organisations such as the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, Transparency International, the Irish Penal Reform Trust, Trócaire and Oxfam.
The following LLM and MA programmes are currently accepting applications for September 2018:
Students choose from a wide variety of optional modules, which address from their subject-matter from the point of view of foundational (global) principles.
Students gain a systematic understanding of the critical issues at the forefront of select areas of international business law.
The first semester of this innovative dual masters qualification is spent at UCLy and the second semester at Maynooth University. The language of instruction is English.
Students obtain critical insights into the international legal system and how it operates to promote and secure justice, including for minorities, migrants and peoples with disabilities.
Students have the opportunity to develop a specialist knowledge of debates around crime causation and control, within a comparative and international context
Non-Law Graduates are eligible to apply for the following programmes:
