Senate Room, Queen’s University Belfast
26 January 2018, 1pm-4.30pm
The Jean Monnet Centre for Excellence at the School of Law, Queen’s University Belfast, is staging an interdisciplinary research seminar on EMU and Social Justice. This seminar will address whether the legal frame of Economic and Monetary Union is in irreconcilable tension with the EU’s renewed social agenda, also questioning whether the Pillar of Social Rights is sufficient to revive the EU’s original socio-economic model in the face of ongoing global economic distortions. Speakers include Prof Ulla Neergaard (Copenhagen), Prof Fabian Amtenbrink (Rotterdam) and Dr Bart Vanhercke (OSE, Brussels).
